Who these terms are with

This website is operated by Imprint Production, a music production studio in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. By using the site you accept the terms below. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

Applying to the retreat

The retreat takes place in person, in our studio in Atlanta, on October 8, 9 and 10, 2026. It costs $799 per person, in US dollars, for all three days in the studio. Everyone coming sends their own application and pays for their own place, unless someone passes their place on to them (see Cancellations and refunds). You can pay as soon as you send the application, or later through the payment link we email you, which works for 48 hours; your place is held once the payment clears — not before. Places are limited: if they are all taken when you apply, your application is kept, but the payment form does not open and nothing is charged. If your payment link runs out before you use it, write to us and, while places remain, we will send you a new one.

Please give accurate information. A place held on the basis of information that turns out to be untrue may be withdrawn; if it has been paid for, we refund the fee in full, as with any paid application we decline.

The retreat is for adults. If you are 16 or 17, you can take part only with the written agreement of a parent or guardian; we will ask for it after you apply, and without it we withdraw the place and refund the fee in full.

We read every application ourselves and may decline one without giving a reason. Payments are processed by Stripe, and your card details never reach us. Stripe is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1, the strictest level of the card industry's security standard.

Cancellations and refunds

If you cancel in writing at least 7 days before the retreat starts, we refund the fee in full. For the retreat on October 8–10, 2026, that means by the end of October 1 (Atlanta time). An email to [email protected] is enough.

If you cancel later than that, or do not come, the fee is not refunded. You can, however, pass your place to someone else: tell us who is taking it before they apply, they send their own application without paying, and we move your place to them, so nobody is charged a second time.

If we cancel the retreat, or decline an application that has already been paid for, we refund the fee in full. If we move the retreat to new dates, you choose: a place on the new dates, or a full refund. In each case we refund the fee you paid us; we cannot cover travel, accommodation or other costs you have booked yourself.

Refunds go back through Stripe to the card or other payment method you paid with; they cannot be sent anywhere else. We issue a refund within 7 days of your cancellation email, or of our decision to cancel or move the retreat or to decline an application. Once we have issued a refund, banks usually take 5 to 10 business days to show it; a refund made soon after you paid may instead simply remove the original charge from your statement. If you cannot see it, write to us.

Your account

• You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself, and for what happens under your account.
• Give us a real email address — it is how we reach you.
• Tell us promptly if you think someone else has got into your account.
• You can close your account whenever you like by asking us.

We may suspend or close an account that is being used to abuse the site or other people.

Acceptable use

Please do not:

• Submit anything unlawful, abusive or deliberately misleading.
• Attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or its systems.
• Copy the site's content for commercial use without our permission.

Our content

The text, photographs, recordings, logos and design on this site belong to Imprint Production or to the people we licensed them from. You may read, link to and share them. You may not republish or sell them without written permission.

Anything you write in an application stays yours. You give us permission to read it, store it, and use it to decide on your place.

Recordings made at the retreat

Work produced during the retreat, and any photography or filming, is covered by terms agreed with you before the retreat begins — not by this page.

At the retreat

Please look after your own instruments and belongings: we cannot take responsibility for personal property brought to the studio. Treat the studio's equipment with care; we may ask you to pay for damage you cause deliberately or through obvious carelessness. We may ask anyone who puts others at risk or seriously disrupts the retreat to leave, and in that case the fee is not refunded.

What we do not promise

We keep this site accurate and available, but we cannot guarantee it is free of errors or always reachable. Programme details, dates and teaching staff may change; if we move the retreat to new dates, you can choose a full refund instead, as set out under Cancellations and refunds. If a teacher cannot come, we will do our best to replace them; a change of teacher is not in itself a reason for a refund.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this website. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date at the top of the page shows when they last changed. Changes do not affect a place you have already paid for: the terms in force when you paid apply to it. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States.
